It’s hard to believe it’s already June!  Time sure does fly when you’re learning!!  I am very proud of all the students’ hard work throughout the year!   In Kindergarten, the students had been talking about transportation.  After the students read The Little Engine That Could in class, in Technology we used the Tumble Books website to read the story All Aboard The Dinotrain.  Then we wrote about what was the same and different between the two stories.    In First Grade, the Reading Street theme for Unit 5 was Treasures.  In Technology we talked about how our family is something we treasure.  We created a concept web showing different members of our families and why we treasure each person.  In Second Grade, the Reading Street theme for Unit 5 was Responsibility.  In Technology, the students created PowerPoint presentations giving next year’s second graders advice for how to be responsible second grade students.  In Third Grade, after finishing Unit 4's Reading Street theme One of a Kind, the students created PowerPoint presentations showing how each of them were one of a kind.  Then we presented the slideshows, with a guessing game!  Students did not reveal their names until the last slide so their classmates would have to guess the slideshow just from the unique qualities!  The students in Fourth Grade were working very hard on their United States social studies projects.  In Technology we used kid-friendly search engines to research our state information.
