Hill-Roberts Arrives
After a short stop in Memphis our students safely and smoothly arrived in Atlanta. Monday we checked in and had a tour of the Convention Center. Mr. Joseph and Mr. Stors even had time to make a Christmas Wish. Our students are ready to make us all proud on Tuesday.
This year 17,000 teachers, administrators, and school officials registered to attend the National Education Computing Conference and participate in the variety of workshops, attend student showcases, and visit over 200 technology and educational vendors. Some vendors include: Apple, Gateway, Best Buy Education, AT&T, Scholastic Education, McGraw-Hill, Google, Discovery Education, Atomic Learning, PBS Teacherline, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, and many more.
Atlanta, HERE WE COME!!
Hill-Roberts was selected as one of only 42 schools in the country to be showcased at the 2007 National Education Computing Conference in Atlanta ,Georgia. Hill-Roberts was the ONLY school selected from Massachusetts. We were selected and recognized as a school that demonstrates exceptional 21st-Century School Design. The focus of the showcase will be on creating our daily morning announcement podcast. The four students (Chantelle Montminy, Nicole Savoie, Grant Sherman, and Amanda Stors) who have been trained and assist me every day have been asked to attend the conference and showcase how this format of community communication is created. Although only four students are coming with me to Atlanta, this is a whole school success. Every teacher and student who has planned and
participated in the morning announcements can share in this success. Click here to download a copy of our showcase brochure.
