Homework: Homework is an important tool used to help reinforce skills taught in school. The students will receive homework Monday through Thursday nights. On occasion they will be asked to work on assignements or projects over the weekend.
All homework that is assigned should not take more than 40 minutes. If it is taking a lot longer, please let me know. It is the students responsibility to complete homework each night. If homework is not completed, students will complete it at work center, which is during recess.
Along with their written homework, students will be asked to read a minimum of 20 minutes each night. Starting the week of the 8th, students will record their reading minutes in their planners on a daily basis, and parents if you would sign their planners so that I know they have read. At the end of the week the students will total their reading minutes and I will record their minutes for the week.
