Reading Street is well underway, special education staff have assisted in gathering important benchmark data on children so that we can track their progress and successes.  Special educational staff will be assisting with the general education staff in classrooms to teach the curricula .
This direct hands on in the classroom model will help students grasp the ongoing instruction.
Educational staff and support staff make ongoing adjustments to students, skills, and curricula, to best meet a childs unique needs and learning styles in a regular education setting.  Good teaching practices are always noted and applauded, yet occasionally specialized instruction and unusual modifications are necessary for our students to make satisfactory progress, or show us their knowledge and ability.

Sight words are words that children should know by sight.  They usually do not follow the rules for sounding out, or the child has not learned to sound out that type of word at that grade level.
